Catch-up -- March - Australia

I love to make salt dough maps!!! I taught the 3rd and 4th graders this year at TNT -- Australian unit. I had the kids create salt dough maps. So... we also made them at home (Taylor ended up making 2 maps -- one at TNT and one at home). Aren't they gorgeous:)

Catch-up -- March - Irish dance performance

On March 7th Abby performed at the Cascades Library with her Irish dance school! We were able to borrow this beautiful dress. She had a delightful time and did an awesome job!!!

Catch-up -- February - Bunny

I can't believe that these are the first shots of the bunnies (and only one of the three)!! We surprised the kids with 3 bunnies on Christmas morning. Taylor surprised us with her big-time allergy to bunnies (sorry Tay). After experimenting with a bandana worn like a robber, it is safe for her to hold the bunnies. They LOVE the rabbits. The one shown here has gone through several variations of names -->> he started with Marshmallow, then Marshy, to BooBoo, to Booey -- I'm not sure what they will be calling him next!!!

Catch-up -- February Koala presentation

Abby wrote a paper, made a presentation board and made cupcakes for her TNT writing unit. She picked koalas -- she did a fabulous job:)

Catch-up -- January - Great Falls

On the 17th we met some friends at Great Falls and had a super hike. Awesome...

Catch-up -- January - Abby's Birthday

Sweet Abby turned 11!!!! She decorated her cupcakes, ate her meal of choice (potato skins), opened presents, and had a grand day. She is totally terrific and I am soooo thankful for her:)

Catch-up -- January - Winterfest

Abby qualified for Winterfest this year in her breaststroke. It was held at the University of Maryland. There were a ton of kids!!! She did a great job!!!

Catch-up -- January - Ice Skating

Greg, Nolan, Katie, and the kids had a great January 1st skating at the Reston Town Center!!! It was a gorgeous day...

Catch-up -- December - Katie and Nolan

Our trip to DC with Katie and Nolan (Abby is in the hallway at the Spy Museum). We all stayed up until midnight to ring in the New Year!! I watched them play hours of Monopoly -- what a way to end 2010:)

Our dear friends, the Wallachs, visited us at the end of December -- yippeeee!!! The kids had a SUPER time catching up with Lauren and Juliet. These are pictures taken during their "big production"!!! Ben is a reindeer in a cage, they are on an airplane, and various other photos. They did a fantastic job:)
