What better way to remember history than to eat a
Thanksgiving feast, fill out our own Mayflower Compact (check out the line about the "dread parents"), and strap on a plunger so that we can remember Peter Stuyvesant (of course, you remember him... the fellow with the wooden peg leg that helped with the New Amsterdam settlement that later was taken over by the English and renamed New York!!!). A few fun facts we also learned -- Wall Street (downtown NY) is named after the wall that Stuyvesant built to protect the colony from the English and Broadway was the Broad Way where the Dutch public housed once served traders from all over the world.
